A flurry of mixed emotions this holiday. Ok..the flurries came the day after Cmas. skyping across the world I guess if you call putting your hands and fingers in front of the camera half the time.  she's crying cuz I told her I'm leaving *tears* *and smiles*

My nieces have been begging to do something before I leave and I had promised them I would. This time we ventured to THAT BOUNCE PLACE. It was full of inflatable things such as these and lots of fun. They ran wild for close to two hours before they were ready to call it quits. big people. small people. there was room for all. Yesterday we made candy and lots of it. Fortunately my appetite for such things was nonexistent so it kept the consumption to a minimum. We have few days left to fight. She was trying to take my choc. chips that I had just measured out for something I was making. (excuse the attire. it's a sweatshirt I made in 8th grade) The delightful treats all finished. Or most of them anyway. I believe a few kinds might be missing. Merry Christmas!

Byes, lights and a BABY!

Suddenly December is nearly gone. I remember Dec. 1 like it was yesterday. I am quite ok with this but it meant for lots of getting things done. I promised them I would stop in and say a final goodbye. They were finishing up school and it was fun to sit down and help them for an hour!  Melody took me to Christmas Candylane. Of course we chose the coldest night of the week. With borrowed boots, sniffles and lots of clothes we did the rides. The coldness nearly took your breath away when flying through the air. Ending  with some warm coffee was simply amazing! Excuse the too small beanie. lol. We will leave that story. This ride was the calmest and most enjoyable.   A lot of the lights were buried beneath the snow!  Went to market with mom. She wanted to go before I leave since she was never at this one before! This stubborn little black haired miss finally made her appearance on Friday. Aleah Paige  Grandma's "baby" h

Giving and more giving!

Family is given. It is a gift. It was so much fun to see this little girl again. I think I was more thrilled than her! She had all the attention she could ever get and didn't need any from me!  A supper at Applebee's reunited with Grenada friends. Livy and Becky ran wild most of the night while we caught up with each other!  It snowed. Not once. Not twice...yes three times in one week. I honestly believe God is testing me. Really truly he is...lol. I must admit it was beautiful but made me long for Grenada even more. I ventured to a family thing in the snow. I may not see them again for a very long time. My car remained in the parking lot. I deemed it not fit for the snowy conditions.  It's been nearly ten years since we graduated. After a lovely meal we looked at pictures and reminisced. I was reminded that aging truly is a good thing. There is absolutely no way I would want to be back in those high school days again. Stacy was missing
