Memorial Day

Image
Family cabin time is always Memorial Day weekend. It was a good weekend but on the cold side. Lots of work was done and good food was eaten. After a long day of cutting wood and digging fence holes, Bucket and I went on a 7 mile bike ride. We went around the block the wrong way and had uphill most of the way. OOPS! Isaac no words describe this kid. One thing is true...keep his sugar intake to a minimum! Myles is a little sweetie TIMBER ...and the clean up God's awesome scenery it was chilly but the water was the playing grounds for the day. wet and muddy they were! Don't they look like Penn dot workers Mary Kate..the little lady Addy...she is so content and happy yes Andrew...we know your are strong. sigh. men! rekilling the groundhog It was a good weekend. now for a short week with today as a holiday and no work. I love when weeks go fast..but I am so ready for SUN!!!...

Pottery works

Since I am not so good at buying birthday gifts I promised a trip to Pottery Works for some fun instead. Kris and I helped them paint the object of their choice. I love this age they are at. Easy to do simple things and have fun.  This was such a Mary Kate pick. She is definitely a very much "I will do my own thing." It turned out adorable. Anna Banana and her horse. She left odd white spots here and there but it's ok cuz she was having fun. Lauren has a love for horses right now. Can't say I ever went through that stage! The beautiful finished products. They will be thrilled! We babysat my nieces and nephews while votes were being taken for a pastor. There was a chicken that somehow managed to escape the bird catchers a week earlier. It was hiding under the floor stacks that the girls are standing on down farther. Bucket and I raised them up and the dog took over from there... ferociously tormenting it. The girls...twist...

I like to think I know cities...Reading, NY...but Philly..nah! I left my dear sis-in-law for that one.  Today is a dear person's birthday-My mother. So in celebration we planned a day in the city shopping and then eating out. I was not disappointed but really missed Kathy and Ginger. Hopefully this summer we can all do something together for the first time in years! Stop #1 so indecisive as to which bear to get my mother so I didn't get any..lol. King of Prussia Mall and.... Cheesecake factory where we ate a delicious meal. Shopping was not a choice when they told us a 2 hour wait. it was worth it! my one and only sister. one of the bargains I bought....it was a wonderful day. ...now for the new week to start and more wonderful days ahead!

I thought I was ready to be done with birthdays....but...this one was definitely the best yet. Since I had other plans the night of my birthday...Bucket and I went for supper with my parents Friday night instead and enjoyed some mini-golf as well. My old age caught up with me and I lost! lol. Ball season has begun and we took in two games of that. Sorry no pix....it was too cold to expose the hands to the air! May 4: Birthday I had some delicious fish and shrimp at Red Lobster with an amazing person to share it with! It's good to know people that work at such places....we even got a NICE discount. I love good deals like that! The following day found us kayaking Codorus Lake and spending time with family once more. They are the best social life after all!  Kris and Reynold us Durell and Krista like a bawssse! It was a fun day which ended with some grilled food and some aggressive, competitive "football." *protective geese...
