No Matter What

It was a bad week from the start...you know the kind that start off with snow. sigh. Will spring and summer ever come? To top that it is the week before Easter which means the job I work at is crazy busy..you know so much so that you have 36 hours in three days..not counting the other two you work. Through all the lack of sleep and work work work...I could still hear this voice.... You know...that voice that when God speaks and you don't really believe it is Him..(or maybe that is just me.) But anyway...this voice I heard, but since I'm kind of superstitious..and in this case I very much wanted to be and laughted it off. You see that snowy night..yeah the one  at the beginning of the week...started out with a late start for work which was normal. What was not normal was this car that just seemed to try and catch up to me. I thought it strange but continued on my merry way, very alert to police sightings and the such. Well this particular car did indeed catch up. Those voices...

I went to bed refusing to look out the window. I woke up to extreme brightness just knowing there must be snow. There was. The parents are gone. Since I felt obligated to shovel the driveway, I decided I might as well take some pictures. It looks painful...trust me it was. ..maybe a little bit beautiful This was a couple hours ago...it's still snowing. I have no clue how much we got. too much for me! I thought the calendar said spring? These cows are so dumb. MOOOO-ing every time I am outside! the cat constantly in my way smiling cuz I'm happy...haha!

Becoming an aunt is completely out of one's control. When your sis-in-law decides to become a mother you are automatically an aunt. It just happens...and it changes your life! She didn't chose to be my niece...but she is because she was born into my family. How awesome! I never had an aunt to do things with. Oh I had plenty of aunts...but I guess fun things like musicals and cafes were non-existent. Nonetheless I enjoyed the day with my niece. Can't believe she is 12. sigh...Time is going so fast. Next step is those teen years...lol.  ...should not be taking this picture :) Prince Street Cafe ...She wanted cheesecake.  my delicious Irish latte We sent this picture to her mother who is vacationing. This blog pretty much sums up my past week.  it.snowed....of course when I wanted to drive to JFK to pick up someone very special, who loves the snow as much as me..haha! it's what the Caribbean brings I guess TEFLON freezing somebody's hair was long...for the winter warmth I suppose!   I had free tickets to Sight and Sound. It was an amazing presentation and I totally recommend it. this poor chick had some neck problems...I could identify...just my neck was going forward in a sleep the entire time I there working! lol

If I'm gunna go shopping...I love to go alone. Well...there are a few exceptions. But anyway I had a gift card since Christmas but of course I could find nothing in that store other than clothes and really....I don't need them.  So I bought some Ginger brew...I hope it is kind of like Ginger beer...we shall see. The rest of the gift card...well it will be saved. There was lots of nice home decor...but why purchase now? Oh..wait...so I did purchase some decor. You see them little yellow tags...Yeah they get me every time and then with a 30% off coupon yet who wouldn't buy the two of them for $14. They will be used some happy day. This weekend held BEAUTIFUL weather. I went biking with family and friends. My hands were still ice till I ever reached the park. Make haste spring! ...As if I don't see enough of these in a day...I made some with my mother this morning. It was fun. We did glazed rings and raspberry cream filled. Hopefully they are good! I...

It was to be the snowstorm of the year...lol. I was quite delighted it refrained itself and gave rain showers instead. My niece and I were going to celebrate her birthday by doing something fun...the place was closed apparently due to the threatening storm. Sigh...We opted for a relaxing time hanging out at McD's. The rest of the birthday fun shall wait till a next time! so over fish bites, fries, and a burger we played a game, got asked to pray for someone's car in exchange for them praying for Lauren's broke foot...and had much giggling like little girls do. We don't do so well with self portraits. The glasses are hiding my weary eyes. I had gone far too long without sleep and hanging out with Lauren was yet another thing that took priority over sleep. When I got home I slept for 16 hours. Almost completely straight through...minus a little time in there for a phone call :) Sleep deprivation is what makes me appreciate sleep....but I still vouch that th...

A new niece...Adalyn Margaret. It is so fun to be here for a birth again. ...one good thing about being home..and possibly one of the only! ok..not quite! it's only almost 28 yrs ago that was me..lol. She's so tiny and precious. moving back in the states is complicated....so much neglected things over the years but I think I got most of those "government" issues taken care of now! new passport (that panicky...what if I need to go somewhere) updated social security ...(my birthdates been wrong since '89..so they told me) and a new drivers license on the way. .... I miss back when....or sometimes I tell myself that..... until I think about the possibility of not traveling and resolve to be content in the state I am and deal with all the legal documents!
