Fish

Yes I have lived in Grenada nearly 3 years and have never bought fish from the fish market. We made an early departure to town to make sure that we had some picking choice yesterday. Not like we really knew anyway what was "exceptionally" good. Upon arrival we decided it would be barracuda- a small shark. We have yet to try it but it is in the freezer awaiting consumption! 


The rest of the morning was spent on the beach with an exceptionally nice day. The past month of Saturdays have been filled with scattered rain showers and not nearly enough sunshine to keep the skin looking healthy! The skin is looking overly healthy now! Sometimes I wonder if I will ever learn. In the late afternoon was a staff picnic on Quarenteen Point. Pretty much just a time of relaxing, playing games, enjoying the small beach with some of the kiddos, and of course the normal- Eating!

..here it is. It's hot, dry, and breezy. The month is almost halfway gone already. sigh. It's hard to believe it's been one whole year already that I've been married to this wonderful man. He truly is so extremely good for me. Marriage is a wonderful thing. It's good to have the first year behind us though. We look forward to many more! February 7 is Independence Day. The churches had a picnic and cooked the national dish. Kyla...or little Cindy as I call her. oil down...it was deliciously made by Sammy. A few wore their Independence colors!  Sailing festival was also held the other weekend on the beach. I was wishing so badly I had remembered my camera but alas phone pictures had to work! of police and goodbyes

It was the night before some people departed the states to the wonderful Isle of Spice. Who wouldn't stay out late? Well...I would..and I did. The regrets came in the morning with only 2 hours of sleep and off to work at an unearthly hour. I work when I can...even if it is only a few hours. I felt like I had to keep redoing things...my brain was malfunctioning. Coffee was needed but I didn't want to be the reason for potty breaks on the way to the airport...thus I refrained. I left work in my own little world oblivious to a police officer sitting nearby. I believe he was sleeping as well..much to my benefit. With suitcases packed on that Ford truck we began to "RUN IT"...traffic moves well most days. I try to keep with traffic. They can usually break radar for you. The SUV lost me when it got to about 25 over the speed limit. It was a good thing! There was enough of a gap between us that officer had his nose out in traffic as I tried to quickly change lanes.
