Independence Day

It wasn't a normal Monday. It was time to celebrate "our" country. Upon arriving at school the teachers decided to do an ALL FUN DAY! Who feels like getting into work and then having a holiday the next day. Certainly not us...or the students for that matter.In chapel we pledged our allegiance and sang the National Anthem. We had a fun time playing various games through out the day. The day was good but till the end  the fun was wearing out!

My kids love to sing. Right now for some reason they keep picking the song "When I Grow Up." The chorus goes: "When I grow up I wanna be just like you, so don't disappoint me I can see what you do. If you follow Jesus I will follow him too, so don't disappoint me, I can see what you do." ..here it is. It's hot, dry, and breezy. The month is almost halfway gone already. sigh. It's hard to believe it's been one whole year already that I've been married to this wonderful man. He truly is so extremely good for me. Marriage is a wonderful thing. It's good to have the first year behind us though. We look forward to many more! February 7 is Independence Day. The churches had a picnic and cooked the national dish. Kyla...or little Cindy as I call her. oil down...it was deliciously made by Sammy. A few wore their Independence colors!  Sailing festival was also held the other weekend on the beach. I was wishing so badly I had remembered my camera but alas phone pictures had to work! Grenada at a glance

We are back from Grenada well over a month...more like six weeks and I just now realized I never blogged about it. So here goes. It will be mostly pictures cuz I ain't got any more time then I had the last 6 weeks. Oh where does time go? He slept all but the last hour or so. The beach makes tired and grumpy babies!
